The Coca-Cola-owned Sprite brand — which has had a long association with hip-hop dating back to the ‘80s — is running the ads in connection with the release of a limited-edition flavor, Lymonade Legacy.
The commercial is part of a larger Sprite summer campaign celebrating what is considered the golden anniversary of hip-hop’s birth this summer. The company will also be sponsoring Drake’s upcoming “It’s All a Blur” tour, which will stop at FedExForum on June 29.
